My friend Max

I have a lovely friend who has sent me some of her very beautiful photos to share with everyone. She is an uber talented graphic & textile designer who I feel so lucky to know. Don't you think the light and colour are just wondrous? Hope you enjoy as much as I did - you can see some more of her work here.

Valentine's Kisses

What a lovely Valentine's Weekend... NP and I are one of those couples who quite like the whole Valentine's cheesiness. We celebrated with a V-Eve dinner for two at the wonderful Mille Vini in Surry Hills. I was sent a delightful bouquet of chocolate-dipped fruit flowers which all the girls in the studio helped me devour - delish!

Yumi and I had a little afternoon tea treat on the Saturday with lovely heart shaped cookies... she bought them from 2 little girls raising money for the Victorian Bushfire Victims. Who could resist?

Once all the treat had disappeared we got stuck into some work for Souzou - we're busy finessing our product range which we'll be showing more of right here!

Victorian Bushfire Appeal

NP and I have been watching the news tonight seeing fires rage in Victoria, the loss, the despair that people have woken up to. It's something we've been lucky enough never to have had to deal with. Bendigo is one of the beautiful country towns that has been effected. A couple of years ago I spent a wonderful weekend visiting my friend Livvy there. I hope all her friends are safe.

To donate to the victims of the fire online:

Souzou happened this weekend!

Yumi and I are super excited that applications for the Finders Keepers Markets have opened. We're busy making final touches to our goodies, working out styling, shoots and packaging and crossing our fingers the application is good enough to get in. We popped along to the last ones held at Carriage Works and it was such a fantastic atmosphere. So here's a sneak peak of how our stuff is coming along... more updates to come!

Stylin' It

Australia Day Long Weekend happened at my Mum's new house in the country. Foregoing the Aussie Flags and Green & Gold colour palette we whipped up this table fit for a queen. Hydrangeas were picked from the road side and all props were found amongst my mum's mound of lovely things. And my sister Lucy showed us her new culinary skills picked up in Auckland with a very delicious Zucchini and Cous Cous Salad. We wrapped it up with a lovely batch of late-night pancakes. Perfection!

Gen and Dave Get Married!

NP and I went to our friends' wedding in January and it was beautiful... both their personalities were in every single lovely little detail.

Sydney festival- bye bye

I have been spoilt this summer. I have seen Lykke Li, Bon Iver, Glen Hansaard and Marketa Irglova(from the film "once") and a retrospective on Monet. I am so over inspired I do not know where to start?!
As the banners around the city "summer is our city- Sydney Festival" are slowly peeled away, I feel a slight loss and need to start creating!
Now I am looking forward to Yayoi Kusama's exhibition at the MCA and a dance performance by Sylvie Guillem and Russell Maliphant at the Opera house.
My friend, Melissa has introduced me to the wonderful world of dance. I saw Sylvie Guillem's last performance with Akram Khan and was moved beyond words.

Happy creating and happy inspiring to everyone!

{Hello Yumi!! Where was that little picture from? It's super cute! I have some nice things to blog about but I must close my eyes for a big sleep! Good night! xxEmma}
