Paper Flowers Around the World...

One of my favourite illustrators, Anna Emilia, has a lovely example of how to use tissue-paper flowers as gift-decorations...

Thank You Whip Up!

Wow! The flowers were mentioned on Whip Up this week and I didn't even relaise it! I'm usually checking out their crafty tips every second day, but somehow missed our little blooms.

I have to re-mention that these flowers came out of a book that Yumi borrowed from the Mosman Library. I'm not entirely sure which book but if anyone knows I'd love for them to contact me so I can give the author proper credit.

Travelling Flowers...

Gosh, it looks like the tissue paper flowers are travelling the globe!

Thanks so much to Linda for posting up her flower studio in Brighton.

You belong to me!

This little friend from the beautiful Tinctory Shop has just been popped into my shopping trolley. Thank you so much Pia for letting us know about Eva's wonderful smocking and dying work. I hope she doesn't mind if I share some more of her pieces? She has such a beautiful and unique aesthetic.

I've missed you...

Hello my friends! It has been a little while since I last said hello... I feel like I have a lot to say and catch up on with you!

Firstly... Yumi! Thank you so much for starting your inspirational blog Dear Plastic... I can't wait to see your journey - we bump into so much plastic everyday! I think it will be a great place to get good ideas and I for one am going to be making my own nifty on-the-go plastic bag-bag!

I've been busy with some exciting activities over the past month... I can't wait to share them with you...

Love You Big

I can't believe we haven't linked to the lovely Kate's blog and etsy shop yet... sometimes I'm not sure where my head is!

I've been lucky enough to get to know Kate through our mutual friend Alice... you know those moments where you are 5 minutes into a conversation with a new person and you just know they are your kinda gal?

Her Etsy shop is full of kawaii goodies... hope you have time to visit!

You are what you love...

There is a lovely blog called "You are what you love" by Aprile Elcich which I think everyone should take a trip to.

She also has a lovely tumblr site where she posts up  a "personal inspiration board" - a beautiful mix of images she hand picks and collates. I find tumblr an interesting concept - one that I might pursue - hmmm...

I'm not sure how I stumbled upon these goodies but I thank them whole heartedly!

(Oh! It was Forest Bound who led me to this treasure, another divinely divine blog!)

A new friend!

Yumi and I are busy felting little finger puppets and putting the finishing touches on the Sugar Plums for the market on Sunday (whoops, not Sunday... it's Saturday)! It was time for a little break and I noticed that a lovely blogger by the name of ii-ne-kore (a way of expressing appreciation and delight - I'm head over heels already!) left a very nice comment on the Souzou blog.

Popping over to visit ii-ne-kore has happily reminded me of one of my favourite books "A Year In Japan" by Kate T Williamson. It's been tucked away in my bookshelf for far too long!

There are other very beautiful images on the blog and it's so lovely to be reading what's happening in Melbourne.

Thank you to the ii-ne-kore blog for new inspiration!

I Made You a Beard

Thank you Erin for your blog... it made me smile! And thank you Amy for sending it to me!
